Haunted & Historic Guyandotte Tours

"Where History Meets Legend"

Getting Started:

Many people who have never taken a walking tour are somewhat confused about what to expect their first time taking one of our tours, here is some information on what to expect as well as other helpful information.

Taking A Tour:

When you first arrive at the tour departure location you will see a tent where our information booth is located, please find the line and we will assist you to get you started with your walking tour experience!

Once you reach the info table you will be asked to sign our tour guestbook, this helps us keep track of how many people we have taking our tours.

At this point you will be handed tickets for the number of people in your party, you will be assigned a tour time and/or tour number that will be printed on your ticket. You must obtain a ticket to take a tour, all tickets will be checked just prior to departure.

Because almost all of our tours are free we do not offer ticket reservations, all tickets are first come, first serve. We try to allow you to choose your tour departure time from our list of available tour times. You may choose a tour time and then return later just prior to the departure time of your tour.

Please note: If you miss your tour, we can not place you in a later tour.

All tours are guided, you will be called to gather for your tour about 2-3 minutes before your tour's expected start time (occasionally tours can run late, but typically not more than 5 minutes). Your tour guide will introduce themselves and give you a brief rundown of tour rules and safety guidelines. Expect your tour to last around one hour and thirty minutes, with the walking distance being just under one mile.

Our tours offers a glimpse into the past, we will give you a lot of information on the history of the area and homes and we will share the spooky ghost stories of the places on the tour. This tour is not a haunted house attraction, you may encounter some costumed characters but rest assured you will not be chased down by a crazed chainsaw man.

While we try to keep our tours family friendly, some of the subject matter discussed may not be appropriate for young ears, we ask that anyone bringing children on the tour please keep this in mind and please keep your children with you at all times.

If you have questions or comments for your guide please feel free to ask at appropriate times. We will give our guests plenty of opportunity to talk with us and ask questions but please be mindful that we have a certain amount of time to give a tour. Please avoid any discourteous comments, if you are unhappy or bored with your tour you are welcome to leave at any time.

Overall we hope you have an enjoyable tour and we hope to see you this fall!
