Haunted & Historic Guyandotte Tours

"Where History Meets Legend"

The Haunted & Historic Guyandotte Tours are a part of Huntington Paranormal Investigations & Research of Huntington West Virginia.

Our tours began in 2008 as an evening event in during the Guyandotte Civil War Days annual event.

It is our desire to share Guyandotte's history and ghost stories with our community. We have ran several very successful tours in the past few years and we hope to continue our growth and expand our tours further.

Guyandotte has a long and interesting two hundred year history and it brings us great joy to present these facts and folklore to our community.

Each season we make changes to our tours and even have a few added surprises along the way!

We do hope you will join us for one of our educational and family friendly tours. Please see our Upcoming Tours for a complete listing of all tours and dates!

Haunted & Historic Guyandotte Tours is a registered business in the city of Huntington WV.

Melissa - Tour Guide

"I am the founder of Huntington Paranormal Investigations & Research, and after taking haunted tours in Gettysburg Pa. and Williamsburg Va., I thought it would be a great idea to start a haunted/historic tour in my hometown. Together with the members of HPIR and with the support of Guyandotte Civil War Days, my dream became a reality in 2008.

Our haunted and historic tours were a big hit from the very start, and we plan continue the tours well into the future. I am so proud of all my fellow team members for all their time and hard work, I truly could not do this without them. And to all of those who have taken our tours, thank you for making Haunted & Historic Guyandotte Tours a huge success!"

Theresa - Tour Guide

Theresa is Huntington Paranormal's research manager and she has spent countless hours researching  many of the locations on our tours. Her hard work has been the backbone of our tours, without her, our tours would not be what they are today. Her research is ongoing with loads of new information added each tour. If you have taken a tour in the past, don't expect to get the same tour twice! If you see a photo of a ghost standing at the gates of the cemetery on our website, don't worry, it's only Theresa!

Meghan - Tour Guide

Meghan is Huntington Paranormal's case manager and tour guide! If you have a haunted house you would like investigated Meghan is the lady to talk to! Meghan loves history and she enjoys sharing the stories of Guyandotte's haunted & historic past with all of her tour groups.

Jamie - Tour Guide

Jamie is a member of HPIR who has been with us since we began. Jamie is very much a people person and loves to interact with her tour groups, she is most definitely a storyteller! She is also great with the kids who come on our tours too. You may have noticed the the dark and mysterious apparition photo on our site, actually Jamie is the face behind the veil of our "lady in black" photo that appears on our website.

Dustin - Safety Guide/Character

Dustin is Huntington Paranormal's Co-Founder and is a safety guide during our tours. When you take our tours he is the guy at the back of the group responsible for helping get the tour group safely across streets and making sure there are no problems along the way.  In 2011 Dustin took on the role of Dr. McGinnis as a ghostly character on our tours.

Wes - Safety Guide

Wes is a tech assistant for HPIR and has been a member since HPIR was founded. Wes is usually a quiet fellow, but he will ensure your safety as you travel along the tour route. If you saw the photo of the creepy ghost on the railroad tracks on our website, have no fear, that is Wes!

Carrie - Tour Guide

Carrie has been a member of HPIR since the fall of 2010. Carrie began helping as back guide her first year, but now Carrie is a leading tour guide.  Carrie enjoys history and of course a good ghost story! She is a wonderful tour guide and we are happy to have her on our team.

Lynne - Tour Guide

Lynne is the newest addition to the HPIR family, joining in the summer of 2011. Lynne jumped right in to help us in leading tours this year. She is an upbeat and a fun tour guide.

Diane - Info Booth

Diane join HPIR in 2010. She likes working with the public and she greatly enjoys working the front lines of our information and ticket booth with Teenie, she and Teenie make a great team!

Kelly - Character/Back Guide
